【摘要】:ThispartofISO8501specifiesaseriesofpreparationgradesforsteelsurfacesafterremoval/partialremovalofwater-solublecontaminants,rust,previouspaintcoatingsandforeignmatterbyhigh-pressurewaterjetting.Thevariousgradesaredefinedbywrittendescriptionstogetherwithphotographsthatarerepresentativeexampleswithinthetolerancesforeachgradeasdescribedinwords.Inaddition,thispartofISO8501specifiesbothinitialsurfaceconditionsandafter-cleaningflashrustgrades,alsodefinedbywrittendescriptionstogetherwithrepresentativephotographicexamples.NOTE1Examplesofforeignmatteraresalt,grime,dirt,millscale,oil,greaseandmarinegrowth,e.g.algae.ThispartofISO8501relatesthecleanlinessofthesurfacetoitsvisualappearance.Inmanyinstances,thisissufficientforthepurposebut,forcoatingslikelytobeexposedtosevereenvironments,suchaswaterimmersionandcontinuouscondensationconditions,considerationshouldbegiventotestingforsolublesaltsandotherinvisiblecontaminantsonthevisuallycleansurfacebythephysicalandchemicalmethodswhichformthesubjectsofthevariouspartsofISO8502.TheroughnesscharacteristicsofthesurfaceshouldalsobeconsideredbyreferencetoISO8503,althoughitmustbenotedthatpreparationbyhigh-pressurewaterjettingdoesnotcreateaprofileorsignificantlychangeanexistingprofile.NOTE2Waterpressure,watervolume,nozzledesign,stand-offdistanceandtraverseratearefactorswhichwillaffecttheefficiencyofremovalofcontaminantssuchaswater-solublematter,rustandpaintcoatings.Theremovalefficiencyalsodependsonwhetherdetergentsarebeingusedinthecleaningprocess.Ifso,rinsingafterwardswithcleanwaterisnecessary.
